Tersaks Karate Studio – St. Augustine

Tersaks was so pleased with the high energy we created at their first location, they brought us in for the second location in a premier neighborhood.

This studio is located in rapidly-growing St. Johns County, and needed a more high-end design that customers in this area have come to expect. This meant clean and simple, but inspiring for students. Building a location in this neighborhood presents a huge opportunity for Tersaks and the growth of their company.

The Herron Group turned this 2,948 square feet of tenant space into an exciting martial arts academy.

Our goal was to create a spacious design that accommodates students, parents, and instructors comfortably, while encouraging students to remain focused. The initial space needed to be enhanced to match the energy brought in each day, and that is what The Herron Group created. 

The design and layout of the mats are interesting yet practical for martial arts lessons, as it is a firm mat designed for teaching. We left the ceiling exposed to create a larger feel and provide more airflow throughout the studio. 

This project was enjoyable to work on because our team was able to work with the Tersaks company again, allowing us to use experience from the previous studio and carry that into this location.
